Chris Bywater, Head of Business Continuity and Security, Department for Work and Pensions

Chris is a career civil servant with over 30 years' experience in the Department for Work and Pensions and its predecessors. He has a Diploma in Consultancy Practice from the Institute of Administrative Management and was the first member of DWP to be accepted as Member of the Business Continuity Institute. He has worked in a range of policy, management and project posts and worked in personnel, finance and planning, specialising on performance-related issues. Chris is now the Head of Business Continuity and Security at DWP, the largest department in Government. He is also the Departmental Security Officer
