James King
James King is Assistant Director of Markets and Regulation in the General Insurance and Health Directorate of the Association of British Insurers. His team covers consumer protection regulation, financial inclusion and financial crime. James first joined the ABI in 2004, and until 2007 he worked on regulation of life insurance. Before that, James was employed by the National Consumer Council, where he did public affairs and policy work on a range of issues, from financial exclusion to regulation of mobile phones. Outside of ABI, James was elected in 2006 as a councillor for Kilburn in the London Borough of Camden.
