Robert Hannigan
Robert Hannigan is the Prime Minister's Security Adviser and Head of Security, Intelligence and Resilience.
Until 2007 he was the principal adviser to Prime Minister Tony Blair and the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland on the peace process, including negotiations with the political parties and liaison with the Irish Government.
Before taking up this post Robert was the Director of Communications for the Northern Ireland Office. He joined the Civil Service from the private sector where he worked for a multi-national communications group in London, south east Asia and Ireland.
He is married with two young children
